Sevierville History and Haunts October 2019
Have you seen that downtown Sevierville, just a short drive South from Douglas Lake, has had events going on each weekend of October to celebrate the Halloween season? It’s a new series of events they’ve had called “History and Haunts” and we’d like to share information from their History and Haunts website on that:
“Sevierville’s History & Haunts has creeped its way across every Saturday in October… and we couldn’t be happier about it. Stroll the streets of historic downtown Sevierville each Saturday evening in October (5pm-9pm) to enjoy family-friendly frights and fall fun.
Each Saturday brings a new harvest of activities everyone will enjoy, from guided historic walking tours and costume contests to storytellers, live music and lawn games.
Admission to History & Haunts is free. There may be a nominal charge for some activities.
History & Haunts takes place on Bruce Street in historic downtown Sevierville, Tennessee. Use this GPS Address to find your way to the fun: 136 Bruce Street Sevierville, TN.
OCTOBER 19, 5-9PM
Dance Party – Dance the evening away to classic Halloween tunes in downtown Sevierville.
Zombie Costume Contest – Come dressed in your best zombie attire for a chance to win ghoulishly good prizes. 6pm

Zombie Walk – Be part of a guided tour of downtown Sevierville. 7pm
Thriller Flash Mob – Have a Thriller night when you join in as part of a flash mob dancing to the 80s classic song, Thriller. Flash Mob at 8pm | Lessons 5pm-7:45pm
Paint Your Own Pumpkin – Paint your own pumpkin. 5pm-8pm ($2)
Cornhole & Lawn Games – Enjoy crisp fall evenings and challenge friends and family to a game of cornhole or other fun lawn games.
OCTOBER 26, 5-9PM
Tonight’s event is centered around the Sevier County Courthouse at 125 Court Ave. Sevierville
Live Music – Enjoy live music in downtown Sevierville from The Kincaid Band.
Cornhole & Lawn Games – Enjoy crisp fall evenings and challenge friends and family to a game of cornhole or other fun lawn games.
Storytellers – Enjoy eerie homespun mountain tales during the Super Spooky Crazy Scary Storytelling Spectacular with author Thomas D. Taylor and author Elyse Bruce.
Haunted Historical Walking Tours – Enjoy guided walking tours of downtown Sevierville and meet the “ghosts” of those who met an untimely end in downtown Sevierville (portrayed by actors from the Seymour High School drama club). 6pm & 7:30pm”.
