Looking for some reasons to enjoy the Smoky Mountains in nearby Sevier County for the month of March? Let’s look at what there is going now here now and soon.

This coming weekend: The Winter Carnival of Magic in Pigeon Forge begins on March 8th and goes on to March 9th. This is a 2-day stage magic convention, competition and showcase for magicians such as Nick Lewin, Lucio Martinez, Jeff McBride, Oscar Muñoz, Pop Haydn, Losander, Joshua Jay, The Pendragons, Aldo Columbini, Arthur Trace, Terry Evanswood and more. This event goes on at Country Tonite Theater in Pigeon Forge. See more on this at https://www.mypigeonforge.com/event/winter-carnival-of-magic.

Soon: The 16th of March is the grand opening for Dollywood’s 2019 operating season. If you’ve never been to Festival of the Nations, you’ve been missing out on 25 years of some of the best, most unique entertainment and food the Smokies has provided. This year, entertainers and performance shows will include Cuba Vibra!, Drumstruck, Atahualpa, Invaders Steel Orchestra, De Temps Antan, Les Grands Hurleurs and more that you can find at www.dollywood.com.

Slightly After That: March 20th to the 23rd brings the return of A Mountain Quiltfest at the LeConte Conference Center. This is a surprisingly popular and enriching special event for fans of the Appalachian culture here in the Smokies with many amazing quilts on display, workshops for and taught by professional quilters, and prizes for top quality works of art as well. See more on this at https://www.mypigeonforge.com/event/quiltfest.

Great stuff to look forward to within just a couple weeks of time! All of it is within an hour’s drive from our cabins here around Dandridge, TN.
